CrossMark Policy

Maintaining the scholarly record.

CrossMark Logo

CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative to provide a standard way for readers to locate the current version of a piece of content. By applying the CrossMark logo, Conscientia Beam is committing to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.

How It Works

Clicking on the CrossMark logo on any HTML or PDF article will tell you the current status of the document and may also give you additional publication record information about the document.

Status Updates & DOI

If there are any corrections, errata, retractions, or updates to the document, the CrossMark status window will clearly display a link to the updated version, using its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Correction and Retraction Policy

Conscientia Beam is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. If an article needs to be corrected or retracted, we follow the COPE guidelines:

  • Corrections (Errata/Corrigenda): Minor errors that do not affect the scientific validity of the paper will be updated and noted in a correction notice.
  • Retractions: If a paper is found to have severe errors, duplicate publication, or ethical violations, a retraction notice will be issued and linked to the original article via CrossMark.
