Article Withdrawal

Conscientia Beam is committed to the integrity of the academic record. Article withdrawal is only possible under specific circumstances and is subject to review by the editorial office. Authors who wish to withdraw an article should contact the editorial office as soon as possible.

When Is Withdrawal Permitted?

Pre-Publication Withdrawal

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript that is under review or in production, provided a valid reason is given. The editorial office will assess the request and inform the author of the outcome.

Post-Publication Withdrawal

Withdrawal of a published article is only considered in exceptional circumstances — for example, where there is clear evidence of unreliable data, plagiarism, or ethical violations. A retraction notice will be issued in such cases.

Withdrawal Process

Important Notes

  • Withdrawal requests must be made by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors.
  • Frivolous or unjustified withdrawal requests — particularly after peer review has been completed — may result in restrictions on future submissions to Conscientia Beam journals.
  • Authors who withdraw an article that has already been reviewed may be required to compensate reviewers for their time.
  • Conscientia Beam reserves the right to reject withdrawal requests where the reason given is not considered sufficient.
  • Duplicate submission or simultaneous submission to another journal discovered after acceptance may result in mandatory retraction rather than withdrawal.
Publication Ethics & COPE

Conscientia Beam follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on article retraction and withdrawal. All decisions are made transparently and in accordance with best practice in scholarly publishing.
