APC Policy

At Conscientia Beam, Article Processing Charges (APCs) support manuscript management, peer review coordination, editorial services, typesetting, digital hosting, long-term archiving, and administrative operations. We are committed to equitable access and offer structured discounts and waivers for eligible authors.

How to Apply for a Discount or Waiver

Contact the editorial office at editor@conscientiabeam.com to request a Discount Application Form. Submit it with supporting documents after manuscript acceptance. Decisions are final. Discounts are not retroactive or combinable unless expressly permitted.

APC Discount & Waiver Categories

Policy 1: Top 2% Most Cited Scientists (2024/2025) 100% Waiver

Corresponding authors listed among the Top 2% Most Cited Scientists (per Stanford/Elsevier global ranking) are eligible for a full APC waiver.

Eligibility
  • Corresponding author must be in Top 2% at time of submission
  • Valid citation certificate or official ranking reference required
How to Verify
Policy 2: Authors from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) 50% Discount

Authors whose primary affiliation is in a UN-recognized Least Developed Country receive a 50% APC discount. All listed authors must be affiliated with LDC institutions at time of acceptance.

Eligible Countries Include:

Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, DR Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, India, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Required docs: institutional email, official affiliation letter, or valid institutional ID card.

Policy 3: Student Authors 50% Discount

Active enrolled students who are the corresponding author on a manuscript (with the majority of co-authors also being students) are eligible for a 50% APC discount.

Required Documentation:
  • Valid student ID card or official enrolment certificate
  • Brief personal statement describing the financial need

General Terms & Conditions

  • →Discounts are not cumulative unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • →No discounts will be applied retroactively after APC payment is completed.
  • →All submitted documents are subject to verification by the editorial team.
  • →Each author may benefit from a discount or waiver only once every two years, regardless of discount type or manuscript.
  • →All final decisions lie solely with Conscientia Beam and are not subject to reconsideration.
