Aim and Scope

Journal of Brain Sciences (JBS) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of brain structure, function, and disorders across the lifespan. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for the publication of high-quality original research, reviews, short communications, and clinical studies that contribute to the growing body of knowledge in neuroscience and related disciplines.

JBS aims to promote scientific discovery and innovation by publishing research that enhances our understanding of neural mechanisms underlying cognition, behavior, neurological and psychiatric disorders, and brain health. The journal encourages both basic and translational research that bridges laboratory findings with clinical applications and supports the development of novel diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive strategies.

Studies involving both human participants and animal models are welcomed. Research employing advanced methodologies, including neuroimaging, electrophysiological recording, genetic manipulation, molecular and cellular approaches, computational modeling, and pharmacological interventions, is particularly encouraged.
